National Space Agency Director General, Dr Mustafa Basri's recent statement that the Federal Government had agreed to include the second Astronaut programme into the 10th Malaysian Plan is most counter productive and a waste of public fund. According to Dr Mustafa, it will cost the tax payer at least a whopping RM65 million to accomplish such mission.
We urge the Government not to indulge into the vicious circle of wastage and have mercy on our tax payer especially the Malaysian public in practice gain nothing from the 1st National Astronaut project which was a compliment from the Russian technology. All Malaysians are curious to know what was the scientific finding of the experiment carried out by Dr Syed Mustaffa, now a “Dato”， and what benefit the public could enjoy from the extravaganza Public Relation Exercise.
It must be pointed out that according to the report, at least 252 primary schools building in our country are at both dilapidated and dangerous state. As such, the DAP calls on the government to channel this huge RM65 millions to set up public fund in order to restore and repair the schools. By doing so,our children will have a conducive environment to be nurtured as the real Astronaut and entering space by Rocket made in Malaysia, not made in Russia.

行动党今日呼吁政府取消劳民伤财的第二太空人计划避免浪费人民血汗钱。
该党副秘书长兼吡州主席拿督倪可汉今日联同州秘书倪可敏及吡州副宣传秘书杨祖強召开联合新闻发佈会上指出，我国太空署总监穆斯达化博士指政府巳决定把第二太空人计划纳入第十大马计划，同时该计划将至少耗费6千500万是令人震惊的消息。
行动党州秘书兼太平区国会议员倪可敏表示，首名太空人锡穆斯达化自2007年10月乘搭俄罗斯火箭上太空后虽自称进行五项试验，可是至今试验成果不但石沉大海，大马国库反而虚耗了8千700万巨款。自锡穆斯达化升空以来，除了他个人受封“拿督”及进行了一场据报导花费了五十万的婚礼外，普罗大众根本不曾从该雷声大、雨点小的计划受益。他指出，如今政府不但沒有吸取教训，反而执迷不悟继续劳民伤财又好大喜功的奢华计划，这种作風令人极度遗憾。
建议政府把第二太空人计划6千500万改為“全国小学危楼基金”
倪可敏建议政府把第二太空人计划须耗费的6千500万巨款改為维修全国小学危楼基金，选福学子之余也避免华小楼塌人亡的惨剧重演。
倪可敏披露，据我国教总公佈的2010年全国微型华小调查报告指出，国内高达252所华小建筑被列入危楼、白蚁蛀蚀、设备不足，极须政府拨款“急救”，他希望高调问政的马华不要充耳不闻。“252所华小逼切须要修补与重建，须要金额保守估计為至少五千万元，是时候政府停止浪费、用行动亡羊补牢了。”他强调。
